I work with a guy that won't even sweep. Management told me to pick up his slack

They don't want to fire him he doesn't do anything

I told the manager if they didn't make him do his job I was going to quit. They sent him home early

I don't sweep at home, however I will happily sweep at work

Years ago I had perfect attendance and did my job and other people's. I came in on my days off if needed. I was there for over a year and a half. A New guy gets hired and comes on on one day off they gave him employee of the month.

And told me to go on my lunch break which is what I'm doing now

I asked why he got it and thatw as the reason.

Management wonder why they can't keep good employees but they love rewarding lazy ones

I had nothing against the other guy just the fact he got rewarded for something I had been doing for a lot longer.

Yes they tell me "we need people" I guess that's why they won't fire the lazy coworker

The only thing the lazy coworker does is bring down the moral of the good employees
