yes and then you //-5 from whole equation to get K alone there

2017-10-31 14:51:21 UTC

and simplify

2017-10-31 14:51:34 UTC

also i just realised what your k is. is it our b? like in the slope formula y=mx+b is yours y=mx+k?

2017-10-31 14:51:59 UTC

then add that "K" value to the Y=-4/3*X+K

2017-10-31 14:52:02 UTC

and you get your answer

2017-10-31 14:53:03 UTC

yeah our function for that is Y=KX+C

2017-10-31 14:53:18 UTC

where the global is Y=MX+K

2017-10-31 14:53:19 UTC

k being your slope?

2017-10-31 14:53:23 UTC

yeah

2017-10-31 14:53:39 UTC

math sure is weird

2017-10-31 14:54:39 UTC

mmm apparently we do officialy use Y=K*X+B ... but some reason my brain either derped

2017-10-31 14:54:45 UTC

or i have had some weird textbooks

2017-10-31 14:55:24 UTC

i was private schooled so im basically retarded when it comes to universally understood formulas. we always did stuff diofferent than pblic schools

2017-10-31 14:57:28 UTC

asking our professor now

2017-10-31 14:59:27 UTC

the state of /g/

2017-10-31 14:59:33 UTC

okay wait im fucked up

2017-10-31 14:59:43 UTC

i did like what you said i think correctly

2017-10-31 14:59:47 UTC

are you in 8th grade?

2017-10-31 15:00:24 UTC

but i got K=-4/3x(-4)-5

2017-10-31 15:00:30 UTC

no im in college

2017-10-31 15:01:07 UTC

you need to simplify the end so its -9

2017-10-31 15:01:37 UTC

Y=-4/3*X-9

2017-10-31 15:01:43 UTC

should be the answer for it

2017-10-31 15:01:58 UTC

that is the equation what it needs

2017-10-31 15:02:17 UTC

oh okay i must have goofed up

2017-10-31 15:02:24 UTC

but\

2017-10-31 15:02:46 UTC

i apparently have to write the equation in ax+by=c form

2017-10-31 15:04:59 UTC

although i think ive learned more solving this problem than i have all year in math so thats good

2017-10-31 15:05:09 UTC

hahaha :P

2017-10-31 15:05:59 UTC

are those slope intercept formulas or ? what

2017-10-31 15:06:20 UTC

what

2017-10-31 15:06:44 UTC

wondering what the fuck that formula is and why you should be using it :P

2017-10-31 15:07:20 UTC

no its supposed to be written as x+y=n(any variable) and write now its written as x+n=y

2017-10-31 15:09:01 UTC

wait

2017-10-31 15:09:03 UTC

what about

2017-10-31 15:09:04 UTC

So, the slope is y2-y1/x2-x1
ergo -3 -(5)/-4-(-2) which is -8/2 which is -4

so then you put it into point slope form with y - y1 = m(x -x1)

y - 5 = -4(x - -4)
y - 5 = -4(x + 4)
y = -4x - 16 + 5
y = -4x - 11
4x + y = -11

2017-10-31 15:09:09 UTC

does that l;ook rite

2017-10-31 15:09:11 UTC

right

2017-10-31 15:09:14 UTC

fuick im retardedf

2017-10-31 15:11:35 UTC

Just be yourself tbh

2017-10-31 15:12:41 UTC

i dont think it works like that.... im not so sure
