In 1938 his family and a bunch of other Germans in Hungary were forced to immigrate to Germany as to keep Hitler from making land claims, in 1939 Nazi drafters came to the town my family was in, and demanded all men join the military. My grandpa’s brother said no to the draft and they hung him for treason in the town square, then my grandpa had to join and served in the 2nd panzer division where he invaded Russia for 6 months before getting captured and put in a POW war camp (this is about my grandpa btw)
