The way masks work is that particles of COVID-19 (assuming you have it) get trapped in water droplets as you talk. The mask is meant to be able to catch them

@Wardog this is true, but having a mask is waaaaay better than no mask. They also encourage hand sanitization and other methods of getting rid of the COVID particles on your hands

I think sick people should wear masks, for sure, just like its polite to wear a mask if you are sick with literally anything else.... but mask mandates are stupid. You know how they think COVID19 was here back in late 2019? Well, in late 2019 I had a bad case of what I thought was the flu, and despite being out and about this entire time during the pandemic... I havent caught it. I mightve already had it and didn't even realize, because the pandemic hadnt been created yet.
