Yeah?
idk
do you think trump will win the election
yes
because...
if you vote trump you're helping trump campaign
if you vote 3rd party you're helping trump campaign
if you don't vote you're helping trump campaign
i dont know in 2016 i was mostly indifferent to politics and still thought trump would win but its not 2016 anymore
Yeah back then I was an Apolitical, but now I am just super into politics
tbh trump was the guy that got me intrested in politics
Yeah, even though I don't really like him much anymore, his campaign is what got me interested
I think Trump got a lot of people into politics because he is something new not a politician who has been doing the same thing for a century
His campaign really will go down in history as one of the most iconic styles of politics, the general right-wing populist movement of 2016 will be remembered for a while by everyone.
Yes he has a rlly high energy campaign
I wonder who the 2024 candidates will be. 🤔
I mean, the idea of right-wing populism was that the percieved "establishment" are screwing us, and that other issues such as nationalism and immigration should be important as well. Trump checks all the boxes for the ideal right-populist leader, and what his campaign did was pretty insane. (It also helps that everyone hated Hillary as well) Nowadays, the TDS is ramped up to a degree in which they have made an entire ideology out of hating Trump.
i wanna poll
Left-wing populism was supposed to work well, and it had, although Bernie got stopped by the DNC, and now he's basically just submitted to them at this point.
I'm not really well-versed on all the little terms and buzzwords we have these days but it is great to know how a political party changes over time. I usually think of it as the party's enthusiasm follows their selected candidate and their interest will change based on what that candidate does.
