2017-12-14 14:55:00 UTC

2017-12-14 14:55:08 UTC

He's probably just a dumbass but if the car is solid you'll be fine.

2017-12-14 14:55:30 UTC

or it's not fine and that's why it's on sale

2017-12-14 14:55:43 UTC

<:chink:323022148870602752>

2017-12-14 14:56:14 UTC

the question of "why are you selling it" could prove crucial in the negotiations

2017-12-14 14:56:44 UTC

Maybe get an obd 1 sensor from ebay if you can't wait.

2017-12-14 14:56:49 UTC

Take it for a spin

2017-12-14 14:57:07 UTC

You'll pay more than Ali but it'll get there a lot faster.

2017-12-14 14:57:38 UTC

nah

2017-12-14 14:57:42 UTC

i was thinking of taking it to the shop

2017-12-14 14:57:58 UTC

i'm gonna call in the evening and set up an appointment somewhere during the day

2017-12-14 14:58:06 UTC

any time after 15:00 is too late because it's so fucking dark

2017-12-14 14:58:29 UTC

Huh, didn't know they let you do that.

2017-12-14 14:58:39 UTC

you're a burger, no?

2017-12-14 14:58:47 UTC

where do you take your car for an inspection?

2017-12-14 14:59:51 UTC

@spaqin generally sellers allow for a test drive and such but inspections are after the purchase. Main thing is the scheduling, think most wouldn't have a problem woth that actually.

2017-12-14 15:01:28 UTC

hmm

2017-12-14 15:07:04 UTC

in the most basic case i'd go with checking the error codes

2017-12-14 15:07:16 UTC

that'd be quick enough

2017-12-14 15:09:26 UTC

Yeah, no real excuse not to do that if every auto and box store sells them and you can Google results

2017-12-14 15:09:48 UTC

in the old toyotas it's just a wire

2017-12-14 15:10:00 UTC

shorting two points and turning the key for ignition

2017-12-14 15:11:48 UTC

Doesn't obd1 have scanners? The short trick is for doing it without one

2017-12-14 15:12:18 UTC

doesn't look like it

2017-12-14 15:12:48 UTC

well, there are adapters to OBD2

2017-12-14 15:13:34 UTC

Yeah, that's what I meant.

2017-12-14 15:13:50 UTC

Do they not work?

2017-12-14 15:15:32 UTC

no info online really

2017-12-14 15:16:13 UTC

Hm, you're right, seems the scanners are for Fords?
