Wouldnt be worth buying one for this project when the same job can be done by just hot gluing everything to plywood

maybe even put a little itx pc in there to run octoprint and slic3r, but honestly probably using a pi and an atx breakout for that

because i want it to look relatively clean and the original control box won't hold the new boards

also footprint, this way i can just lay the pc case on its side and sit the printer on top

instead of having a box to the side of it

might even print off some little mounts to secure the frame to the case

if i do this i'm using a thick heavy rackmount case because that's what i have on hand, so it'd honestly probably help with ringing artifacts
