Rain should not stop a man from nature
I hike, rain, sleet, snow. It matters not to me. I put on my poncho and go
Invest in one of these @Jirka they are worth the money
I don't care about snow or fog or cloudy weather. But when all fields and forests will be wet from rain I'd get wet shoes soon
Invest in boots my friend
Muck boots work great
I don't need to rush anywhere. I'm still on vacation for over a week and so far I got at least a short hike like 5km every day here.
There was a nice frozen forest 2 days ago even without regular snow. Now it's washed away from the rain. I'll consider my options, but probably will walk again somewhere maybe on afternoon.
@🅱øg Wizard I decided to go Kamik boots this year. They are neoprene rubber boots like muck boots. But they are made in the USA.
So far they have been great. And they have been on sale at sportsman’s guide
Yeah, screw city life, it's nature where it's at
I'm enjoying the nature as much as I can now. Screw the government and their bs covid restrictions. I'll be here in mountains until end of next week.
Forest won't be frozen anymore after all day raining today. Unless it freezes again during cold night.
I think my boots are Garmin label.
They are excellent hiking boots
I am looking for it and dont see it
Look to the west
From my hike in mountains today. Not much snow here, but it looked great on the cross. Took a photo to also get a view.
Wow
It looks amazing
The cross fits perfectly too
I'm glad I'm spending Christmas and new year in countryside near mountains.
Every day I go outside for a walk 5-15km depending on weather and it's much better in nature, than walking around city.
Also life in big city sucks now with all nonsense covid19 restrictions, I almost can't go anywhere. Restaurants, gyms, cinemas, concerts, sports events, even shops with "nonessential goods" are all closed. Best you can do is meet with friends in your/their flat or go to outdoor workout parks.
Here I can just walk around where I want to, enjoy nature and be able to completely ignore nonsense like face mask orders etc.

Here's another random photo of mountains. My country has small mountains, but lot of diverse nature. And hiking is cheap hobby with lot of places to go just in my country.
Absolutely beautiful view
Does anyone here do climbing or more specifically bouldering?
I used to rappell a lot.
I have some smaller rocks few km around here where I am. Thinking to go tomorrow try some easy boulders there, but I don't have any equipment or climbing shoes here. All is at home not here in countryside. I'll try something that should be easy or safe enough in regular hiking boots.
Bring at minimum a first aid kit & some way to signal others of you're going solo
