Okeefanokee swamp is wild. Stories of “the tall men” the Indians told. People say they found burial mounds logging it with bodies 9 and 10 feet tall.
Tales from there I believe most, because I’ve been there only once, but it’s vast and near impossible to navigate off the main waterways. Everything in north’s ga has been logged at one time. Even in the roughest climbs it’s hard to find trees over 100 years old.
Here’s a video where a guy rafts in the flooded buildings in Dawson forest. Raft is about halfway through https://youtu.be/wez7SMJtn8o
You dont know how bad I want to go there
I love Vampire folklore.
If you ever go to New Orleans its rich with vampiric culture
Call me goofy but I believe in Strigoii in the dark corners of the world.
@🅱øg Wizard you seen true detective?
I dont remember
European folklore fascinates me
I think werewolf folklore is based in reality off a cryptid, They call it the Dogman. if you research it its exactly what people described back then.
Michigan has deep history of stories dating back to the 1600s
Louisiana has the Rougaro as well
Doesnt the legend of the werewolf predate the dogman by a few centuries at least 🤔
If the werewolf has any basis in reality I have the feeling its relate to Hypertrichosis
Personally I think it dates back to the ice age cultures.
Many pagan cultures had tales dating far back of werewolves
Greeks,Norse even South Americans. Hell the Egyptians and the Aztecs both had dog headed gods.
Matter of fact I’m positive that the Sasquatch is a relic of the ice age
From the time of the mega fauna
I need to do such an absurd amount of cocaine at once that I achieve ultra instinct

Sure it was a quail then?
Same down here
Good ol boys killed em off
Fun fact about northeast Indiana it was once the greatest place for bird hunting in the North. It was known as the everglades of the north. There were so many birds here that nobles would come from across the globe to hunt here. Then the curse of mass agriculture destroyed the swamps and made Indiana a barren boring shit stain of corn and soy fields
