Yes and no. First of all, you get what you pay for, and that thing is dirt cheap. 2nd, its biggest boon is the mobility and easy to carry with you. BUT, it take awhile to turn it into a full spear, and all of those connection points are weak points to break/fail. Its also going to be less sturdy than a full spear.
