Bottom line is he knows the responsibility and power he has tomorrow to make a difference - what makes a difference depends on the difference he makes.
This has been my thought for the last few hours when I was in the woods it was all I thought about
I think Pence is a very smart man. I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but I don't believe in coincedences - there's a reason for his silence.
I envisioned myself placing my hand on his shoulder stressing to him the importance of his action
gay
Pences sexual fantasy is probably his father saying "I'm proud of you son"
I love his Steve Martin white hair.
There's a third reason: there is no actual significance of today. Let's look at this way. With all the TDS, and Russia Russia Russia for 4 years... do you really think that if the VP had the option to say that the votes were fraudulent and the Electors are to... don't you think that Biden would have done it
4 years ago
I imagine Pence as a dad was rough.
No, he couldn't.
He can only do something about it once the deadline hits for them to come to session in Congress - and that happens tomorrow.
Until then, he's merely showing his hand to his opponent to make them better prepare.
When each state is contested, it'll have 2 hours on the floor for debate.
On the 6th of January
No, no - that's today.
No it's not.
If Pence has his way, they must correct it BY the 6th.
January 6th is when the electors are certified.
January 6 is an important date, but that's not what it's about. IF Pence tells these contested states they need to remedy their flawed results, they're given until January 6 to do... SOMETHING:
You either have split electors, them actually certifying and authenticating an actual fraudulent election, them doing forensic audits like they did in... MI?
And if on January 6 it's not rectified, Pence has the authority to remove that state's electoral vote from the election.
An example is Pennsylvania. If they don't unfuck themselves, instead of a first-past-the-post to 270, it's 250.
If all seven contested states are removed, then it's Trump 232 Biden 222.
Since he's ahead by 10 electorals, if the states split electors he still wins.
And this is before the 12th Amendment comes in with a contingent election.
Don't one of them have to get 270 or it goes to the 12 amendment?
If NO states are removed, but no candidates get 270, then the 12th comes.
Like if a third party gets enough electoral votes, for example.
Ohhhhhhh
That's not how that actually works...
The 12th allows Congress to vote with the House voting for President
And the Senate for VP
Each state gets 1 vote per state
And do you know HOW each state decides its vote?
Because they can't choose, they're required to vote a specific way under certain conditions.
Instead of delegates, it goes by delegation. If the state legislature is majority Republican then they're voting republican.
Tomorrows a new day I wont stress myself over this no more tonight
Shit you shouldn't be stressing about it at all.
Yes, that's why the 6th, when this all happens is actually the important day because nothing can happen untill the 6th
I stress about the fate of this country every day
