It's not post-Gaullism that killed us

It's '80s French-Socialism

Mitterand literally invited Communism and Socialism into the French government

Not even trying to make him look bad

He literally did so and has been accepted as such

Fucking hell he even caused the German reunification to take as long as he possibly could stall it

He changed immigration laws that were very fucking reasonable under Pompidou
