It'd log it
so anyone who ran on stairs got logged
that rises interesting point
are banlists now legal when GDPR comes in effect
on game servers and such
and all that data harvesting
Tfw I'm now a wheel cleaner
I work with eastern euros and a Muslim guy at car wash
which was 2x player height
@transience wagecucking?
so stairs etc wouldn't log
was it upwards moment only or did falling (From roofs) count too
So anticheat or no anticheat?
If it protects against script kiddies its good enough
any connectable information to user (username,email,ip,.....,
Ip addresses are also not covered under GDPR
@Tervy both, but only large distances and also logged if player died at end of fall
i recently went to some boring as fuck training on GDPR and they specifically told us IP addresses were fine
Huohh imgine cleaning wheels bcuse manlit
also you could probably weasel it into this
sad to inform you but your training sucked, @Goz3rr they do are "personal data" but not all processing needs consent
thats quite good chatter about the gdpr (took me while to find it)
due its necessary to keep some logs and stuff
so banlists by IP .. yes .. but by username ... not so much really
its those grey waters what time will only show us how things go
i just had chatter about this with customer who raised same question.. i needed to ask my own lawyer about it and even he didnt know due it all depends on how and why its processed
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i'm just relaying what i was told at work
yeah your trainer probly meant "as long as the IP cant be connected to any persons other data its fine"
the first moment you can connect "this username comes from this IP" its tracking under gdpr
you can always do that
so
