oh wow you found out about Zwarte Piet the fictional slave of Santa Clause. The loopy dutch dress up in blackface to celebrate Zwarte Piet, though this practice in recent times has become somewhat taboo due to you know, white people literally wearing blackface to celebrate a fictional slave.

2020-12-10 18:52:17 UTC

fuck yeah!!

2020-12-10 18:54:16 UTC

Why do people get artificial Christmas trees? They're so tacky

2020-12-10 18:55:43 UTC

well the Christmas tree tradition coems from the lutheran heretics. supposedly as legend goes the famous heretic Martin Luther claimed to have seen an angel in a fir tree (like Moses saw a fire in the burning bush)

2020-12-10 18:56:27 UTC

hence why in later german culture when they became protestants they'd decorate a fir tree with lights

2020-12-10 18:56:50 UTC

pine smell good

2020-12-10 19:00:26 UTC

heh makes me remember when i used to work at an irish pub in my early 20s, for extra money i volunteered to do 2 hours extra of cleaning/opening and on fridays i would use pine oil to polish the woodwork. It smelled really good.

the sanitation systems in the third world are pretty deplorable, but this is what happens when you have to invest in your own military power to maintain control rather than develop infrastructure like plumbing

2020-12-10 19:04:27 UTC

kinda sad actually

2020-12-10 19:09:41 UTC

if you want the european equivalent of this, look into Albania's trash/landfill problem. They allowed islam and they became literal white trash where the majority of their population's Millennials and Gen Z are unemployed, have no hope for a future, and literally have garbage mounting up all over their countryside

2020-12-10 19:16:43 UTC

it's an interesting truth but usually extreme physical filthiness follows a spiritually filthy people. A good example right here in America is of course the liberal states continued degeneration spiritually manifesting in the physical with utter filthiness, rats everywhere, defecation in the streets, heroin needles everywhere, urban blight, etc.

2020-12-10 19:18:28 UTC

hes amazing. i know him

2020-12-10 19:19:16 UTC

that's where i realyl admired Kim Klacik though she never had a real hope to be elected in a highly wicked city like Baltimore, but she really put her finger right on the issue, it should be unacceptable to let your own people become enslaved, degraded, and forced to live in desperate filth and violence

2020-12-10 19:21:31 UTC

@MonkeyKRIEG hell yeah

2020-12-10 19:47:44 UTC

@Japheth the christmas tree comes from the false pagan tradition of yultide

2020-12-10 19:49:28 UTC

as far as i know the pagan yuletide holiday didn't have a christmas tree equivalent. The closest to it that was carried over is the yule log, a special log to burn in the fireplace

2020-12-10 20:00:26 UTC

Morning @Japheth

2020-12-10 20:00:33 UTC

2020-12-10 20:19:49 UTC
