Rate my professor is basically: are they hot? Are they easy graders? 😂

2020-12-22 21:59:46 UTC

I have seen good professors get bad ratings because they actually tested the students on material

2020-12-22 22:01:41 UTC

I do have Books and I have been published in Peer Review Publications. Which is basically meaningless and not meant as coming from a Position of Authority. I personally detest anyone who uses that as a Position in a Debate or Discussion.

2020-12-22 22:05:12 UTC

Maybe titles, but peer reviewed publications are more than positions of authority. Let’s say I know nothing about psychology (which is true) and you tell me some theory. It definitely carries more weight if I can verify your peers have read this theory and found it sufficiently valid to endorse its publication. Unless the peer reviewed journal is suspect. Like that fiasco with those 3 professors that had their gibberish published. But that was just hilarious.

2020-12-22 22:05:36 UTC

So I guess for me it would depend on who your peers are.

2020-12-22 22:06:24 UTC

I will repeat my post from earlier today....
Education or Experience is usually best used as a Tool and not a Weapon in a Debate if your objective is to inform Others.

2020-12-22 22:08:57 UTC

I guess I would say that no weapon is useful if you are arguing to win. I am not a lawyer so I don’t value arguing or persuasion as much as everyone else here. Either I am stating something I know or I am trying to learn. If I am trying to learn I generally have the attitude I know nothing about the subject.

2020-12-22 22:09:00 UTC

SOTs/FFLs allow you to bypass all of title II restrictions in a lot of classes correct?

2020-12-22 22:09:45 UTC

My motivation is not Winning.

2020-12-22 22:09:45 UTC

I shouldn’t say arguing isn’t useful, I just don’t find it useful for me to practice.

2020-12-22 22:11:39 UTC

Yeah that’s fair, I didn’t think it was. I am more just saying if someone has peer reviewed publications I am adding more weight to what they say.

2020-12-22 22:11:40 UTC

I would rather convince someone through Logic and Reasoning than conformation of my words from Others.

2020-12-22 22:12:13 UTC

Look above.

2020-12-22 22:12:34 UTC

Also fair but some things may not be immediately accessible to laymans.

2020-12-22 22:14:11 UTC

I wasn’t trying to say your point was wrong just pointing out my thought process.

2020-12-22 22:15:29 UTC

Accepting Wisdom from a Person solely based upon a Pedigree may be unwise or unworthy.

2020-12-22 22:16:35 UTC

Sadly logic is often almost always inductive.

2020-12-22 22:20:14 UTC

I didn't take your comments as an insult and your thoughts are welcome. It's about exchanging thoughts and ideas not about making impressions of Worth or Winning. I still have an Eraser on my Pencil and I still use it.

2020-12-22 22:21:14 UTC

The reason it's almost always inductive is that there are so many variables to complex questions that people have to resort to inductive reasoning due to lacking omnipotence.

2020-12-22 22:23:19 UTC

Valid deductive reasoning is practically final. Valid inductive reasoning is easy to combat.

2020-12-22 22:25:04 UTC

Think of it as 'beyond a reasonable doubt' vs. 'probable cause'.

2020-12-22 22:25:16 UTC

I think you meant to say omniscience versus omnipotence?

2020-12-22 22:25:39 UTC

Yes, but both go hand in hand.

2020-12-22 22:26:02 UTC

Omniscience is something you would have with omnipotence, etc.

2020-12-22 22:26:40 UTC

Now I just hear Dr Phil when I read your comments 😂 but thanks for the reply.

2020-12-22 22:27:02 UTC

Publishing Research is about the Work and Findings. It's not about the Person.

2020-12-22 22:27:38 UTC

Lol. I don't have a Texas Accent if that helps?

2020-12-22 22:30:36 UTC

Texas seems like a great state, everyone I meet from Texas is always saying come to Texas. In my state they are like “when are you leaving”

2020-12-22 22:31:51 UTC

"I don't know why people find it prudent to give like, a bunch of money to non-Americans and other corporations/assets in stimulus bills when we're on the verge of becoming bankrupt. But that's just the inner economist in me." @Gypsy There you go, enjoy. Let me know when a government is technically bankrupt. Is it when we're forced to tax people in effort to actually make a dent in debt?

2020-12-22 22:32:21 UTC

As long as you don't visit with a U-Haul?.... No I think that is Florida?

2020-12-22 22:32:22 UTC

Or are forced to cut significant spending.

2020-12-22 22:32:35 UTC

While our liability climbs through the roof.

2020-12-22 22:35:11 UTC

Maybe declare War on China and eliminate our Debt to them?

2020-12-22 22:35:35 UTC

Uh. Pretty sure that'd end with significantly more debt.

2020-12-22 22:35:47 UTC

Well I have bad news and worse news. Bad news is we can never go bankrupt. The worse news is this will lead to the debt monetization that megslide was worried about. There is this theory which is catching on with politicians that goes like this: print all the money needed to fund the deficit. And it starts with some backwards idea about money being created through taxes.

2020-12-22 22:36:11 UTC

Really it’s like your own debt, if we made more than we spent it wouldn’t be so bad but we take on more new debt every year.

2020-12-22 22:36:12 UTC

I didn't say it was a good plan....lol @Maw

2020-12-22 22:36:13 UTC

And then you turn into Venezuela.

2020-12-22 22:36:26 UTC

Where money is literally worthless.

2020-12-22 22:36:42 UTC

When I was in California Uhauls were all gone. All rented.

2020-12-22 22:37:14 UTC

It's all about when and whether you hit the exponential part of the curve
