Guns weren’t completely banned in Nazi germany, they never got rid of Christianity. They never burned bibles, just Jewish and liberal books that they saw as threatening their culture. They did topple statues, many countries have done this over the years. Burning the flag of the Weimar Republic which introduced laws and regulations that led to the Germans starving and near constant uprisings between freikorps and communists is justified in my opinion. They never got rid of the police force, the writer says “so the rich could afford it” but the Nazis goal economically was to shorten the gap between classes. Their country wasn’t in a state of fear, in fact before Hitler fucked up and got them in a war Germany was prospering quite well. The brown shirts were not a terrorist organization, they were a security organization to protect the party officials before their rise to power in 1933. Sorry for the long ass post but if people are going to compare Nazi germany to current affairs at least do it on facts and not fearmongering.
