I gave deepin a test drive on my arch box but it installed too much extraneous shit that interfered with my non-deepin usage

will install deepin linux on one of my old laptops sometime soon to test out

I honestly believe the new breed of DE's like Pantheon, Budgie, Deepin are all better options for the future

because they get the fuck out of the way and let you worry less about something as stupid as a DE

linux is a software ecosystem with so many choices that you'll never feel entirely confident that you picked the right one and will spend the rest of your life obsessing over whether or not you have the ideal user experience

Deepin does have lightly outdated repos but most software I use offers their own repos anyways
