Shoulder holster?
Get a shoulder holster if you sit around a lot during your daily life (like an office job). Get a waist holster if you are always on the go during the day (like a manual labor job).

Big disagree, a hip holster isn't uncomfortable (not to say that it's comfortable) and infinitely easier to conceal and prevent printing (can conceal in church by pulling my undershirt and dress shirt over it); would recommend over a shoulder holster 10/10 times.
But, only if your pistol isn't so heavy that it would make securing the pistol in the hip holster difficult. That's the issue I have with my CZ-75, which is why I have a shoulder holster for it.
True
I prefer the look and comfort of the shoulder holster personally as well
There's 2 core issues with it though, it prints like a mofo (unless you're wearing a winter coat or similar) and the barrel is always going to be facing whatever is behind you.
What gun(s) should I buy when I become 18?
Whatever you can get, you live in Canada bro

To answer that we need to know what guns you're allowed to own
A .22
That's always a good firearm to get familiar with
It was my first gun back when I was around 8 or 9 yrs old. Of course, my oldest brother handed it down to me at the time.

I don't think he can even own a handgun without getting like 5 licenses and sucking off Justin Trudeau
