k so there's a good story with this one
What makes a gaming laptop a gaming laptop?
i work at a tech retailer
"PRACTICALLY THE SAME AS DESKTOP OMG" gpu
and we have this associate purchase plan
which it turns out isn't even close
or it gets hotter than the sun playing minesweeper
where you pay 10% of the laptop's cost outright and then they take the rest out of your paycheck over time
so i am stuck between a macbook and some dumb as shit gaymen laptop
and i pick the gaymen laptop
What price range?
and now im stuck with this really inconvenient garbage laptop that i never use
should have gone with the macbook tbh
ik
I use a Macbook Air tbh
got it cheap from my school. Besides the screen, it's pretty gud.
could resell it and get all your money back once you pay it off
that's literally what i am doing
Once you go far enough gaming laptops are really thick and not really useful as laptops anymore
yeah that's the problem
did you see that new watercooled laptop?
but like it's just a portable desktop and not a laptop
I paid like $1000 for mine and it's a laptop that can actually do things while still being portable
which one do you have?
Asus uh... n550?
i have the gl752
I just don't get how it's a portable desktop when you're so limited in expandability and options for upgrades
which is thiqq as fuck and useless
like yeah it computes
i meant based on form factor
like it's not a useable laptop
I kind of like the idea of a portable workstation
but they're always 17inch screens and heavy as fuck
so I stick to 12 inch-14inch screens if laptop
This thing is 15'
the 2012 mbp with the 650m is kinda close
Below 15'' is really pushing it if you want a 1080p display without scaling
the x220 is comfy
gf has one
I had a 13.3" XPS 13 with 1080p display
she's more /g/ than me, runs linux as main driver
