Why make it this complicated good god mediatek
I am using my xiaomi router right now
Fuck it was worth the buy, so much more stable wi-fi
Considering what my ISP paid for their crap, really...
Anyway, this is a mediatek chip not broadcom
1. benefit: updated linux kernel
Xiaomi MiBand2 dropped in price again
2. downfall: they have a weird way of calibrating Wi-Fi
$33.04 with gaybeast
meaning that its pretty derpy running original openwrt
For the time being I would not really recommend xiaomi router due to this
they havent pushed any viable wi-fi calibration yet
I am not sure they will either, but it should be possile. although if it needs propietary modules thats an issue
dd-wrt allows thatn, openwrt is open
chink fork isnt pleusible, not the one on mi forums anyway its outdated and shit
But what benefit do I get for OpenWRT > Default?
Default firmware is shit
I couldnt disable WPS properly last time I was in there
I used an exploit to enable telnet
For the Xiaomi thing?
Yeah a xiaomi router
just the exploit part i well... should explain a few things?
But yeah it will be killer if they fix wifi calibration
The router look really good
fucking mediatek...
But I can't justify the purchase either
it was cheap thoo, 100M though
I use it on the go
Huawei/Netcomm usually
It was just the tiny thing I needed, but I would probably pick one of those small TP-Link or the one anons are shilling
The router they give here is pretty good
this seems like it could have been a better choice for travel router
Some anons were talking about it before
although I didnt know before I bought my xiaomi router ðŸ˜
I would never really run xiaomis firmware if I could avoid it
Hmmm
Outdated openwrt forks from different router brands
I like this better
it just reeks of getting exploit shit
