but apparently the 820 is a quadcore instead of an ""8core""
I guess they just put more cores in to combat the lower juice they could output
and it still competes with 8cores in multicore benchmarks at pretty low ghz
Octa-core A53 is now a thing
thats the chinky cpu right?
the helio
Mediatek is Taiwanese, I say chink but some other people like to call taiwan, HK etc for not chinkland
sure they have it "better", like HK has free internet for example (non censorship) but we all know that the chink gov have attacked them brutally
HK vs Mainland is a joke, they will be crushed
as you can see there is quite the price difference so far
But that is since Amlogic actually included a TV tuner with the octa core
they are crazy, these TV boxes might be about to go next level. I know Xiaomi used that one with Dolby licenses to make Xiaomi Android TV box which does Netflix , YouTube, Amazon in UHD with DRM
Features VP9 software decoding
I am still waiting for the new video format to come out
the one that will beat H.265 and be royalty free, I support free software.
yeah
speaking of tv boxes
my mi max just gave me a notification about a chinese tv guide
LG has the best TV app, I was at my friend who had a no-name chink TV brand
and his actually had so many models it even had that, which my HTC didn't
yeah I'm coming from a g2, so I know
I don't really need the remote app for anything but the tv itself anymore tho.
I wish I could just rob their app
because the set top box in the living room only has some sort of radio
and an app
but that would require porting it for the serial IR sensor on your phone + the LG service associated
and I have a chromecast in my bedroom
yeah I checked that, and I'm just too lazy to care since I have SHARP AQUOS which basically is obv included in any decent app.
try the anymote app
it allows one free remote, if that's all you need it's perfect
its a bit annoying since its run in the background but I use greenify so yeah
is greenify still a thing?
yes
it just freezes apps like iOS does right?
Marshmallow has this built in
called doze mode
basically the history keeps repeating itself
people use mod ideas to make games, people use app ideas to implement (Android did this so much in the past)
