Re-enable screensaver while the player is paused.
Allow resuming playback at a later point with Shift+q, also see the quit-watch-later input command.
I use mpv on Windows and GNU/Linux
Better pause handling (e.g. do not unpause on a command).
Precise seeking support.
Improvements in audio/video sync handling.
Do not lose settings when playing a new file in the same player instance.
etc
It's superb when streaming videos
There's a bunch of shit here
Which I do a lot of
mpv is a lovely bit of kit. How well does it fare on Windows?
I should grab it.
Chpater skip with pgup, screenshots in png
Works fine on Windows too
if you configure it
the Windows build however opengl-hq
It's not DirectX whatever based
not like it matters
yeah I actually use smplayer now that I'm sort of over using linux in turbonerd mode (I keep having to use windows and or don't care enough anymore)
mpv was recommende to me by a bunch of professional anime watchers who really liked the upscale tech and interpolation
And I kinda ended up liking it too
oh yeah isnt there some weird prog on windows that does upscaling as well?
MadVR does it
MCP-HC
That was my old combo
But I migrated to this for cross OS support
My settings can work on any PC 😃
all you use is a dotfile
I never liked the interpolation of MPV
I just prefer my shit natural
Because it's not that bullshit SVP interpolation?
So do you save your cfgs in the cloud for easy access? :^)
This is actually far better for panning and doesn't screw up frames
minimal change from how it would usually be, just a bit more smooth
to combat 60Hz
Well, I run my monitor at 96hz, anyway
found the issue
Well
I have tried it with 60hz, too
Yeah I know 96Hz is multiply of 24Hz
so in theory should be better
I tested without VS with interpolation on mine
And found out at least with some shows you could clearly see it was more smooth
