The temp control is done by the speed of your breath, so you kinda gotta practice using it

Yup! You start slow, and if you want more vapor pull slightly harder. The harder you pull the hotter the vapor

You can end up igniting the bud if you pull too hard, but that doesn't damage the unit

There is a screen that holds the bud, but the screen has nothing to do with the vaporization and won't get very dirty if at all

If you are still worried about the temp control, check out the Firefly 2, that is the same heating method with temp control built into it

Cool thing too with the MFLB is that temp control you are doing with your breath transfers to smoking too, so when you have too hot of a hit on a pipe you can apply the same breathing technique to cool your smoke
