round, rectangle?
bought a new desk, literally has nothing to manage cables through, other than a slight space under the hutch
I was planning on converting an ikea counter into a desk
for keyboard & mouse routing
how am i supposed to install something like that? i was just thinking using a drill and bit for a circular hole
map it out with painters tape/pencil
drill each corner, and use jigsaw from corner-corner
or you can just get a round one + a circular bit
ah
after drilling sand it a little to smooth it out
pretty sure my desk is on the cheapo end, so that plastic laminate that looks like wood but isnt, and has that fiber board at the center
that's what everyone's doing now my man
it's the future.
which would be better, circular or rectangle to drill through?
it's prolly MCF and veneer
circular are easier to install
it's just drilling a single hole
*MDF
not MCF
btw are metal grommets memes or something?
uh
are they a thing?
yes
I've only seen plastic
they look rad
Well what desk do you have?
not sure on the model, made in canada
I dunno if I'd get the brush ones
dust would be a bitch to get out once it gets in
very wide, 4 drawers, plus hutch that stands about 4ft up, that also has 4 door cabinets
where'd you get it?
second hand sale so i couldnt tell you the manufacturer
ah
there was just a canadian tag on it that was falling off
well any grommet will do
just remeber, measure 30 times, cut once
