Potential employers usually hang out at things that market themselves as highly techy
Also Industry events
local techy learning centres?
do those exist?
Yes
Basically industry-sponsored tech education
it's available widely
they exist in the midlands of the UK
Events are also pretty good
if you go to an event you can pretty much deduce where you need to go
Cause there's sponsor booths at those
and you can ask people
i kinda looking for just a weekend job, not an it job at some big company yet
They got those aswell
gotta finish school for that first i guess
Plus the experience basically means you're a much better candidate for anything related in future
true
i actually have some internship kind of thing i have to do for school for like 2 weeks in a few months
it technician at a university
seems really interesting and im looking forward to it tbh
Cause school internships usually dont have payment attached to them
yep
Either way , even if you dont know jack show up at various events and see if it's something you'd like to do what they're doing
Generally networking > experience for your first job
How do you find these events?
would be surprised if there's any near me
school advetrisements/online advetrisments for stem
eventbrite
or something like that
eventbrite works for me
You'll have to find a simillar thing popular in your area
or if you know a big company that exists in your area just check out what they're doing
stuff like that?
Basically yes
i have no idea what they're talking about though
If you have absolutely no idea what it is you should avoid it
Rampajio
That one looks rather higher-level than what you'd otherwise find
thing is with a lot of these events
