I don't like the idea of addiction or needing something to fake being happy...or, you know, the cost.
I don't even like booze because when I'm drunk my friends are happy but I just get depressed.

it's not to fake being happy

it's to elevate or amplify your emotions

if you were depressed and got drunk you'd be depressed still

just moreso

weed or most other soft drugs are different in that they elevate your mood not amplify it

Also it's illegal.
And I'm still looking into joining the army, where I have to not have a criminal record.
