You can download from Nintendo servers and just plain install
if you can't then just use antegros or another arch based distro
Yeah
Arch is pretty easy to install if you just follow the wiki
The setup is rough, becaause it's commandline only setup. You can use Antergos which is vanilla arch with visual setup. :)
Day to day, there's not much to it.
I mean the whole config; like after installing, setting up the WM, compositing manager, fonts, etc
So yeah
If you have a Wii U
Softmod it
After the setup you don't really need much experience.
Does something like it exist for the OG Wii?
yeah
OG wii is easier to softmod
If you run in to problems, they can be googled away easily.
You can even play gamecube games from what I remember
But you need a gamecube controller
B-but those desktops in /Desktop Thread/s looked cool af
Yeah but ment like downloadhelper cause I only find it for the wiiU
"looks cool" and "is usable" are two different things
Oh
most of the time you dont even see your desktop anyway
Nah, I think you have to find your own sources for Wii games
It's a lot easier doe
Well, okay not as easy
But like just google for wii .isos
So Tervy, what's usable?
also this convo belongs to <#189467888657235970>
My mistake
Allright thanks shitty rom sites keep taking ages to download
What's the point if I install a full fledge DM?
You can just download a package with all of the games.
just pointting that out :D not like i care
its quiet anyway
Ah
Yeah
Find a big collection
No, I just want a lightweight setup. Vanilla Ubuntu runs slow on my toaster
You can even use a fucking 360 controller on the Wii U
Xubuntu my main man
