Does the ethernet share the USB bus like it does with Raspberry Pi? (Not sure if it does that on the 4)
Orange Pi never did
(and the 4 doesn't either anymore)
hey anyone good with audio setups?
im a total pleb that just got a synth and have some questions
did you turn it on?
Will be interesting to see how the 3950x performs, and there's also new threadripper coming. But all those will be pretty expensive.

is 128gb ssd storage enough for a very basic home use laptop?
take that 28Gbs away from that for updates and your windows installation at reallyreally-minimun id say 50Gb to be extra secure due >windows<
256 it is
so you are left with 70ish gbs of space without overfilling the SSD
id say 70gb is enough for your average documents, videos and what not
also, what does 4gb soldered + 4 gb dimm mean? I understand it from the technical point of view but does it have an impact on performace?
yeah the household has a separate hdd for pics and stuff
no impact other than if you want to change ram for faster >it will still work at slowest ram sticks speed due fuck you soldered bitch
no I dont think they'll ever need more than 8 gb
aka porks upgrade not initial performance
also porks repairability
Guess I'll have to get them a DOS/linux pc and instantly install W10 on it to save money
id say agressive settings on "recycle bin"
and they are golden
if its for your average netflux and bank payments
they have a kid but all he plays so far is minecraft
(the reason for a new laptop is that he got mad while playing it and smashed the laptop lmao)
so timelock for games set to autokill minecraft at 6pm got it
in that case i would deny whole laptop from kid
seems like this is the best bang for buck I can get
until he learns the value of things
the 128 storage got me feeling iffy but I think they'll manage somehow
get one with older hdds
:D
