With how much our taxes are wasted, I would be concerned about paying more. Though I understand what you're saying and it makes a lot of sense. A bit issue for our college costs though is that you pay a lot for so much that you never use.
Exactly, before taxes are raised I would want to see reform in alot of areas
Yes, definitely. I'm not against universities constantly expanding, but.. when most students are going broke and the colleges are flush with more than enough money to do whatever they want, it seems very predatory
There's a point in the NatSoc Program that I agree heavily with in terms of education and would love to see implemented despite the stigma surrounding the ideology
"The state is to be responsible for a fundamental reconstruction of our whole national education program, to enable every capable and industrious German to obtain higher education and subsequently introduction into leading positions. The plans of instruction of all educational institutions are to conform with the experiences of practical life. The comprehension of the concept of the state must be striven for by the school [Staatsbürgerkunde] as early as the beginning of understanding. We demand the education at the expense of the state of outstanding intellectually gifted children of poor parents without consideration of position or profession."
Minus the whole "love the state" propaganda education thing
Not a huge fan of that aspect
I like some of it. But yeah, once the state tells you what you must learn, you're usually gonna get propaganda.
Unfortunately so, I'm not a huge fan of propaganda in any form depsite it's efficacy. But I don't think schools should be privatized as you get propaganda there as you can see in the current state of college education
Yes it's pretty bad. What I've noticed very blatantly is that there is a lot of opinion mixed in with actual substantial information. Many students don't seem to separate the two very well.
Introduction to sociology was by far the worst course I have ever taken for that reason and more.
People talk about white guilt and all that a lot. But jesus that class should have been called "all whites are racist"
Lol don't even get me started on race
I have a whole lot of opinions on that
But that seems like a common theme on all platforms, social media and in person such as college. The idea that all men are evil and all whites are racist
I cant even game without running into that stuff anymore
Identity politics seems to have become quite a normalized thing
All rich people oppress poor people, all white people oppress black people, all men oppress women and so on and so forth
I grew up learning about martin luther king
Now all of a sudden hes an "uncle tom" and im supposed to judge people based on the color of their skin,
A strange world, a Martyr for the black rights movement abandoned by those he fought and died for. And somehow over the years since the movement ended the U.S has gotten more racist
My friend is super liberal and most of her views are opposite of mine. But she has something that many lost. The ability to talk about things we disagree on. Nowadays many drew a dividing line, and the other side is the "enemy." And after years and years of diving the right and calling them all nazis, I dont see how things will get better any time soon
I worded that sorta terribly but hey, I'm tired. Lol.
They probably won't, I'm sure America will hit a tipping point and have a cultural reset of sorts. The left has become so radicalized that anyone who disagrees is a racist, fascist, Nazi.
I can say from my many interactions with people of differing ideologies. Nazis are never the people you would expect and in fact are surprisingly tolerant and open minded considering what ideology they attach themselves to.
I've noticed many people on the left can't argue or even have a conversation about anything they disagree with. Strange considering they're supposed to be the tolerant party yet they cherry pick what they tolerate.
That reminds me. Whats it called. The great reset or something
Its something being pushed by many
Idk if you heard of it. But its the idea that this pandemic should be used to change everything
Its connected to agenda 2030, which sounds like some crazy conspiracy
I have a meme about the pandemic which I find quite amusing considering your mention of The Great Reset
Ooh gonna post?
Lmao
Its almost like covid is secretly jesus
Strange how things work out
How totally ironic xD Maybe this whole coronavirus bs is actually a blessing in disguise.
lmao
but then its gonna be used for communist bs
At the very least it's making some people realize what's really important in life and what matters
Hopefully... LOL
