But it said in stock

2019-03-19 08:38:58 UTC

anyone have any ideas for a bluetooth audio receiver for a car that:
doesn't have a LiPo in it
doesn't say any dumb chink shit when i turn it on
turns on with the car automatically
doesn't make horrible whining noises

2019-03-19 08:39:10 UTC

points 2 and 4 are a bit redundant actually

2019-03-19 08:47:29 UTC

to 3.5mm slot i assume ?

2019-03-19 08:47:54 UTC

or usb

2019-03-19 08:49:35 UTC

also LiPoless option is the hardest part in there

2019-03-19 08:49:43 UTC

considering if you use AA/AAA batteries then its manageable

2019-03-19 08:50:11 UTC

thing is nobody wants to vampire 3.5mm for the leak energy

2019-03-19 08:50:18 UTC

and doubtfull that its even possible considering outputting 3.5mm analog signal requires voltage

2019-03-19 08:50:49 UTC

what 3.5mm wont give out while you are inputting stuff to it

2019-03-19 08:51:06 UTC

unless you feel like you want to take power from cigarette burner slot

2019-03-19 08:52:29 UTC

so your only options really are larger blocks what you power from usb>cigarette adapter

2019-03-19 08:52:50 UTC

or that you use players USB port

2019-03-19 08:53:08 UTC

or you go all the way to ham on the setup

2019-03-19 08:53:31 UTC

but cigarette lighter/behind radio stuff would either be something like raspberry zero w + phat dac board (or similar 3.5mm audio) or as simple as ESP32 and 3.5mm board to it OR just your average chinkshit box

2019-03-19 08:57:39 UTC

(or esp ( TTGO T9 board)

2019-03-19 08:58:03 UTC

you cant have 3.5mm input without external power (be warned too some ESP-32 variations (if not all??) have had problems withh the ADC-nonlinearity what affects ever so slightly to direct audio without extra circuitry))

2019-03-19 09:29:15 UTC

this?

2019-03-19 10:02:42 UTC

2019-03-19 10:42:51 UTC

2019-03-19 10:43:48 UTC

2019-03-19 10:43:52 UTC

why?

2019-03-19 10:44:08 UTC

2019-03-19 10:44:29 UTC

its a reputable store and I want an upgrade

2019-03-19 10:44:36 UTC

2019-03-19 10:44:37 UTC

:P

2019-03-19 10:48:37 UTC

2019-03-19 10:48:44 UTC

will wait til then, maybe there will be a cheaper option

2019-03-19 12:16:44 UTC

cheers @Goz3rr ended up going with the bluetooth 4.2 version of that

2019-03-19 12:18:10 UTC

I love how they explain that some countries are closer to China so shipping will be faster for those countries

Which make sense in theory but in practice its just logistical lottery

2019-03-19 12:38:04 UTC

More likely: They’re sick of fuckwads complaining their epacket from China is slower than Amazon Prime

Anyone know any good chinese dashcams? Want to buy as a gift because my driving instructor doesn't have one for some reason

2019-03-19 15:15:16 UTC

Xiaomi Yi is decent right? (or is it more of an action cam)

2019-03-19 15:15:49 UTC

depending on where you live he might not have one because of recording permissions and shit

2019-03-19 15:16:41 UTC

UK
he said that he could get one i think, but I think because he's a legal entity and muh GDPR it might be slightly problematic?

"The DVSA make it very clear that cameras fitted for insurance purposes are permitted provided that they are external facing (i.e. not filming the inside of the vehicle) and do not record audio from inside the vehicle."
