2019-08-12 17:54:39 UTC

2019-08-12 18:08:13 UTC

Any not bad wireless IEMs that I can get from a EU warehouse?
Needs to work on one ear, Onodera suggested QS2 but I can't find those in EU.

2019-08-12 18:36:08 UTC

you can try looking up scarbir's tws chifi list

Not really going for hifi, they're mainly for podcast at work
But if it's cheap enough it'll do
Thanks!

Uh
There's no hope for 8-10 hour battery life yet right?

2019-08-12 18:52:15 UTC

on one charge? no?

2019-08-12 18:53:19 UTC

`Average battery life of Galaxy Buds without charging is up to 6 hours`

2019-08-12 18:53:21 UTC

`Apple promises 5 hours of battery life and we got 6!`

2019-08-12 18:55:00 UTC

@s3bbe if youre only using one at a time you can h o t s w a p one and charge the other

2019-08-12 19:05:00 UTC

That'd be enough and in fact probably ideal
Thanks!

The Sony WF-1000XM3 offer 8 hours if you turn off active noise cancelling

2019-08-12 19:55:07 UTC

and the buds charging for 10 minutes on the case gives 90 minutes playtime

2019-08-12 19:55:33 UTC

whats the testing method for those anyway ? full volume and fullspectrum constant "noise" ?

2019-08-12 19:56:00 UTC

No clue honestly.

2019-08-12 19:56:36 UTC

just now startted to think that mmm research time

2019-08-12 19:59:24 UTC

``` The sequence first measures the passive attenuation of the headphone before moving into a loop. The loop plays a 2 minute pink noise stimulus at high output level to accelerate battery drain. During this stimulus period, a current measurement is <bullshitcompanynamehere>. Immediately following the stimulus, battery voltage is measured followed by acquisition and analysis of audio parameters (response, THD and THD Normalized). The active attenuation of the headphone is then measured followed by a series of post processing and Autosave steps. The looping continues until no output is detected from the headphone, when the device shuts down due to insufficient battery capacity. ```
TIL (thats just one companys way of doing that
2019-08-12 20:00:31 UTC
ofc they dont speak anything about transmissio distance between pods and bluetooth source, EM errors in bluetooth data etc etc
2019-08-12 22:08:23 UTC
any recommendations on ali gamepads?
2019-08-12 22:08:36 UTC
are gamesir controllers well made?
2019-08-12 22:13:10 UTC
8bitdo is top notch
2019-08-12 22:20:59 UTC
Primarily looking for something that has xinput on pc and a detachable cable
2019-08-12 22:21:04 UTC
And a good dpad
2019-08-12 22:22:22 UTC
Gamesir g3s seems good, there are other models I didn't take a look at yet
2019-08-12 22:56:44 UTC
ive heard good things about gamesir, but ive never used any myself
2019-08-13 00:19:41 UTC
@lo-fi depends on country but the ASUS TV500BG is great
2019-08-13 00:20:13 UTC
At the $20ish AUD (15usd) that I paid for it, it's a wireless xinput controller with great sticks and low input lag
2019-08-13 02:19:45 UTC
I would say that I can pretty much only buy stuff from china
2019-08-13 02:20:01 UTC
for some reason importing from china ends up being cheaper than anywhere else
2019-08-13 02:20:20 UTC
and no matter where I order from it would take 1 or 2 months to arrive anyway
2019-08-13 04:19:34 UTC
have they changed the search on aliexpress?
2019-08-13 05:37:38 UTC
Anyone bought a dash cam from Aliexpress before? Any cheap but decent dash cams on Aliexpress?
2019-08-13 08:07:54 UTC
@onoderaSecurity bought one iirc
2019-08-13 08:21:35 UTC
