how do i know if i have a redmi note 7 pro or non pro

2019-08-26 10:45:45 UTC

you go to device info on ur phone

2019-08-26 10:45:54 UTC

also the pro was only for pajeets

2019-08-26 10:46:40 UTC

yeah thats the thing, becasue of that i was thinking it wouldnt be noted in the device but was more of a market seperation thing

2019-08-26 10:47:08 UTC

and the official lineage os release says redmi note 7 pro

2019-08-26 10:48:22 UTC

out of all the fucking things they could have made those potentiometers to control

2019-08-26 10:48:27 UTC

they chose their own shitty led lights...

2019-08-26 10:48:30 UTC

like what in the fuck

2019-08-26 10:48:39 UTC

yeah I dont even think its volume control

2019-08-26 10:48:45 UTC

damn shame

2019-08-26 10:49:48 UTC

Knobs the size of a single switch are now becoming popular in the mechanical kb autist community, turn controls volume, press is play/pause

2019-08-26 10:50:15 UTC

now someone should improve that and make it into a 4 direction joystick for previous/next and other stuff

2019-08-26 10:57:16 UTC

for many your average psp-joystick chip would be way better option with proper coding

2019-08-26 10:57:22 UTC

you can spin it for volume

2019-08-26 10:57:32 UTC

it has 8 axis and click iirc

2019-08-26 10:57:58 UTC

just simple microprocessor to scan for the movement and interpret what they are trying to do

2019-08-26 11:00:14 UTC

~derp

2019-08-26 11:01:00 UTC

but yeah as someone said times ago.. its only time when those autists find slide potentiometers and other stuff

2019-08-26 11:03:43 UTC

tho is the community actualy using pots or just encoders ? ... considering some nutjob is planning/kickstarting even succesfully a fucking hall-effect keyboard.... im not that suprised about anything anymore related to keyboards

2019-08-26 11:10:06 UTC

8 axis <:thonk:288060975775612929>

2019-08-26 11:10:37 UTC

i mean i can understand 3 axis

2019-08-26 11:10:41 UTC

but where do the other 5 come from

2019-08-26 11:11:12 UTC

oh wait, do you mean the chip and not the physical joystick?

2019-08-26 11:17:59 UTC

iirc psp thing gives different values for each direction (not just "-+ 100" for up down) but i can remember wrong

2019-08-26 11:19:25 UTC

that sounds dumb

2019-08-26 11:19:38 UTC

but i wouldn't put it past sony to do that

2019-08-26 11:19:40 UTC

i know

2019-08-26 11:19:48 UTC

thats why im doubting myself currenty

2019-08-26 11:20:05 UTC

but afaik it was them or some other company what used some weird shit on their devices joystick

2019-08-26 11:20:24 UTC

it translating even the "northeast" etc directions

2019-08-26 11:21:03 UTC

isn't that like the super old non analog joysticks

2019-08-26 11:21:13 UTC

thoo considering there is chips what do whole 128 compass direction thing on their outputs...

2019-08-26 11:22:05 UTC

i think most older ones do it via "0 - 50(midle)- 100" type of deal

2019-08-26 11:22:17 UTC

instead having different things there

2019-08-26 11:22:19 UTC

dunno

2019-08-26 11:23:01 UTC

im not that well into weird controllers i just remember trying to work with psp-replacement stick and having problems and reading something like that about same time

2019-08-26 11:23:04 UTC

yeaars ago

2019-08-26 11:27:55 UTC

i think default microsoft joystick driver supports only 8 axes? axices ? ?word?

2019-08-26 11:28:34 UTC

singular axis plural axes

2019-08-26 11:29:00 UTC

first was right then .. neat
