I'm asking what the thickness of it is so I can check with the pi I have at home and see if the gap between the pi and the bottom of the heatsink case is enough for me to just slide and click it in there

2019-09-04 05:55:25 UTC

Uh

2019-09-04 05:55:25 UTC

Uh

2019-09-04 05:55:32 UTC

Between pi and the heatsink?

2019-09-04 05:55:45 UTC

Are you asking for overheating or something

2019-09-04 06:35:12 UTC

nah, a gap, so iI could fit the card thingo within there for storage and to make it all a complete unit

2019-09-04 06:35:40 UTC

nah, no way that's possible

2019-09-04 06:35:46 UTC

just a few mm

2019-09-04 06:35:51 UTC

maybe not enough mm

2019-09-04 09:51:21 UTC

These are the only reference images I have to go off

Lul

2019-09-04 09:59:27 UTC

no good

2019-09-04 09:59:35 UTC

can't even get a single card under there

2019-09-04 10:12:43 UTC

also why on earth you would strap the cards to raspbi (or have more than 1 distro on your pi (okay maybe two if you are really lazy and cant be arsed to install lakka to same distro as other shit)

2019-09-04 10:29:43 UTC

nvm, I got Netflix working on Raspbian

2019-09-04 10:30:24 UTC

utilisation is around 45-50% and 800MB RAM used

2019-09-04 10:37:48 UTC

At 1080p it's actually a little better with direct HDMI

2019-09-04 10:37:51 UTC

20-40% dependent on scene and loading state

2019-09-04 10:38:20 UTC

a little screen tearing, but that's great for a NZD$100 computer

2019-09-04 11:07:29 UTC

@Tervy
Raspbian, general use
RetroPie/Lakka: gaming
and other utility cards to switch out

2019-09-04 11:08:32 UTC

I think tomorrow I will try to set up Lakka

2019-09-04 11:08:37 UTC

now that I have proper HDMI out

2019-09-04 11:11:26 UTC

@PoliteSuka why not just install raspian enviroment with lakka starter

2019-09-04 11:11:39 UTC

so you dont need to switch just choose right icon

2019-09-04 11:12:03 UTC

because another micro SD card is like NZD$5

2019-09-04 11:12:12 UTC

who plutonium sediment cares

2019-09-04 11:12:49 UTC

and m.2 shield or hdd/ssd shield is 30 and ?

2019-09-04 11:14:06 UTC

but you do you :P just bringing the options

2019-09-04 11:14:48 UTC

i literally have no idea how that works

2019-09-04 11:14:58 UTC

and if I can just plug and play that shit, that's way better tbh

2019-09-04 11:16:14 UTC

also I don't think those M.2 adaptors would even exist for RPi4

2019-09-04 11:16:52 UTC

i doubt it makes things that differently to not work

2019-09-04 11:19:03 UTC

this?

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/189466684938125312/618766975694405652/unknown.png

2019-09-04 11:19:15 UTC

for example yes

2019-09-04 11:24:39 UTC

i mean if you find specialy the usb3.0 stuff like that

2019-09-04 11:24:49 UTC

it should give you decent write-read speeds too for the hardware

2019-09-04 11:25:28 UTC

it would conflict with the current case i'm using
