the reason we dont need a vacuum seal is because the air pressure at the space/atmosphere border is 0

It’s a scientific fact. If the pendulum can move in any direction, when the earth is going in a particular direction, then you have no excuse to use it as a means for evidence. Especially when the thing has to be manually started and restarted. Over and over. It stops moving when it isn’t mechanized because earth is in fact, not moving.
