it has to do with the sinks shape and the way the water flows into it
Water going in different directions is all based how you pour the water into the container. Yep. The equator water test guy that pretended his test worked for coriolis, was a douchebag.
the sinks shape matters too i think
You can see how he poured the water in opposite sides when he did it.
these people do tests to prove the globe they should be doing tests to prove it wrong
Mhmm.
rowbothom proved it a long time ago
yeah if your proving the globe and you fail then their belief would be correct
his test was good u didnt need the telescop level
that is a huge flat earth piece of evidence
u cant have the telescope level becuase of how we see the fact u get get them all to line up is proof alone. if it was a globe you could never get them to all line up if the telescope is level or not
they dismiss his proof cause the telscope wasnt level right
maybe it wasnt far enough away
because the curve is huge its not gonna be noticeable in a mile
bedford level experiment
8 inches after a mile that is noticeable
hi coco
coco are u familiar with the bedford level experiment
we should talk about that experiment today if u guys got nothing better
The Bedford Level experiment is a series of observations carried out along a six-mile (9.7 km) length of the Old Bedford River on the Bedford Level of the Cambridgeshire Fens in the United Kingdom, during the 19th and early 20th centuries, to measure the curvature of the Earth.
six miles
that the earth was flat i think
he had flags above the water i think and he couldnt get them to line up when the telescope was level but when the telescope wasnt level he got them to all line up for 6 miles i believe thats how it was
but i dont think it matters if the telscope is level or not i think we all agree if u get something to line up over 6 miles their is no curve
<a:9435_PepeClap:518179480619974656>
wouldnt there be an error if the telescope wasnt aligned properly tho
im not sure if thats how the experiment worked actually
i jsut checked
why is my name blue
yo what happened to my name color lol
anyways i think the experiment was he sent a boat down the river and could see it at the end and u shouldnt have with the curve
idk i gotta look into it more
hmm

This approximation holds good for the distances involved, but it fails to take account of the height above the ground of the observer. A more accurate calculation shows that the portion of the boat hidden from Rowbotham’s view would be zero after a mile, 8 inches (0.2 m) after two miles, and 2 ft 8 inches (0.81 m) after three miles. Nevertheless, only the top of the mast would be visible at three miles, and long before it reached Welney Bridge the whole of the boat would have disappeared. Instead, it remained completely visible throughout its journey, which Rowbotham took as proof that the Earth is flat.
Woooooooooooooah
I want that role
we all do
oh thanks
