The only time I really debate is over just basic philosophy. Like how I would call somebody brainwashed for believing the past hasn't been lied about. Not to insult them but as a matter of fact. Though we all slip-up but I try not to say such but sometimes it just has to be said. It's not to insult but to wake somebody up, kinda. Like 'Hey, look outside your reality for a sec.'

I hear what you're saying. I actually really enjoy a good civil debate. I've learned a lot from it and debating flat earth is a genuinely interesting topic that teaches me new things all the time.

Because of how basic psychology, many take the definitions of words as the connotation rather than the denotation, so biases cause the atmosphere to spin rather quickly.
