in general
well
actually by the theory of relativity
and gravity
and gravity existing would disprove the existence of a flat earth
@Drewski4343 the spotlight theory doesn't work. Think about it, if it did you would still be able to see it
Its like a theatre spotlight - just because it's not on you, you can still see the spotlight.
the spotlight theory?
the gravity doesn't exist
so why aren't we floating?
what could exist in place of gravity?
because we are heavier than the air
but being heavier means nothing if you aren't being pulled down
you can't be pulled down if nothing is pulling you
even if you're heavier
weight is only the effect of gravity on mass
ron would explain it to you
i don't have time
@AnIcelandicLoser🇮🇸 Their explanation is that the sun is much smaller and closer than the Heliocentric sun. As it moves further away, the light scatters until eventually there's darkness.
maybe you should talk to him in vc
ronsheckelson
i can't
i just don't get it
is that the spotlight theory?
how are different places dark and light at different times?
coz the sun moves
and how was the planet formed?
The light source can still be omnidirectional, it's just much smaller and less bright. As I said, light scatters in the atmosphere. Travel far enough and you won't be able to see it anymore.
ok
but what about the planet
how was that formed
because there's one huge flaw in the argument
which is gravity
Gravity is applied to mass
because there's no logical explanation for how the "flat" earth could have been formed
This is a Christian server. Many to most of the FEers here believe in Creation.
ah
*i guess there's little point in trying to debunk that then*
you're right, though. GR wouldn't produce a flat earth.
yeah
