@Vitmar you can use the same logic for a lot of interesting things. For example, just as there is a 100% chance that we are in a simulation, there is also a 100% chance that we were created by some other entity.

Since it is theoretically possible for a entity or group of entities to control all matter in the universe through technology, and since time logically has no beginning or end, there is a 100% chance that somewhere in the past an entity or group of entities controlled enough of the matter in the universe to influence the future and create us in the process.
