Oh, I don't think I ever said anything about closest parallel sun ray?

2019-10-23 20:33:57 UTC

someone else, maybe?

2019-10-23 20:34:40 UTC

yeah sorry, wrong person. i had another guy said that. but can you explain more about reflection?

2019-10-23 20:35:40 UTC

speaking of hotspots

2019-10-23 20:35:44 UTC

where's the moon's one?

2019-10-23 20:35:49 UTC

I mean, I could be wrong about them being reflections, but shiny surfaces reflect images. Are those hotspots not simply diffused reflections?

2019-10-23 20:35:55 UTC

oh, I know the moon one!

2019-10-23 20:36:05 UTC

it depends on brightness

2019-10-23 20:36:18 UTC

and the moon is getting a VERY BRIGHT blast of sunlight.

2019-10-23 20:36:28 UTC

I have a thing I did, just a sec

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/538929818834698260/636664393677144075/Moon_Bright.PNG

2019-10-23 20:37:20 UTC

thats why it "glows"

2019-10-23 20:38:14 UTC

I didn't apply a texture to the sphere, but I suppose I could drop one of the moon on it

2019-10-23 20:38:47 UTC

how is this reflection possible? this reflection would never work on a sun that far away and curved earth

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/538929818834698260/636664844850036736/download_3.jpg

2019-10-23 20:39:03 UTC

why wouldnt it?

2019-10-23 20:39:31 UTC

it is in that pic

2019-10-23 20:39:34 UTC

a reflection on a round surface doesn't look like that, it looks just like a small circle but on a flat plane it does work

2019-10-23 20:39:36 UTC

why's that?

2019-10-23 20:40:21 UTC

Is that based off this pic?

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/538929818834698260/636665236308623370/LightOnTheCurve.jpg

2019-10-23 20:41:05 UTC

you'll always be looking *down* the curve

2019-10-23 20:41:26 UTC

unless you're actually pulled far enough away from the earth

2019-10-23 23:19:29 UTC

Why should women need to work?

2019-10-23 23:19:35 UTC

Random question

2019-10-23 23:19:41 UTC

Any answers?

2019-10-23 23:31:38 UTC

well, the GDP rises when women work. more jobs are being completed @Dear Mason

2019-10-23 23:32:07 UTC

Sun hotspots are locations where sunrays reflect off the surface and reach your eyes. Also known as specular reflection.

2019-10-23 23:32:43 UTC

The incident angle of the sunrays hitting the hotspot is the same as the reflected angle.

2019-10-23 23:33:03 UTC

And that means the sun is not actually directly over the spot.

2019-10-23 23:37:52 UTC

The reflection looks like that on the water because of waves. Remove the waves completely to make the surface smooth, and it will look more like a mirror.

2019-10-23 23:44:26 UTC

Interesting

2019-10-23 23:49:47 UTC

were you asking for personal reasons or like, objectively ?

2019-10-24 00:07:06 UTC

Either or

2019-10-24 00:09:01 UTC

if the man makes enough money, then i dont think the women *has* to work if she doesnt want to.

2019-10-24 00:38:17 UTC

Too bad feminism is shaming women who feel that way

2019-10-24 00:40:18 UTC

lolol sounds like the feminist are just lazy

2019-10-24 02:08:04 UTC

Maybe

2019-10-24 02:11:35 UTC

wait maybe i misread

2019-10-24 02:12:01 UTC

feminism is making women wanting to stay home feel bad ?

2019-10-24 02:12:17 UTC

or the ones who want to work

2019-10-24 02:53:46 UTC

I'm pretty sure it's for the freed to choose either
