i'm not saying the equator is the hottest part of the world, i'm saying the rays align when you tilt it properly. but he doesn't understand how geometry works
i can't see it properly, since his picture is of such low quality, but it doesn't seem like the alignment is accurate, nonetheless, his conclusion is wrong since the angle of sunlight isn't the only factor for temperature.
