But what if the main purpose for spending quality time and naming them is for their overall development or growth?

2019-10-02 09:37:07 UTC

🤔

2019-10-02 09:37:34 UTC

True

2019-10-02 09:37:38 UTC

these chickens belong to my sister, but i did grab one and couped it and named it Oscar.. it died 3 weeks later of im not sure what maybe loneliness,, i buried her and gave her a tombstone

2019-10-02 09:39:11 UTC

I have a question

2019-10-02 09:39:34 UTC

Say you do name your livestock and spend quality time with it.

2019-10-02 09:39:44 UTC

i suppose there'd be too many names to handle anyhow, how keep track of all the names would be near impossible lol

2019-10-02 09:40:05 UTC

What do you think about a person who shows no remorse or hesitation when killing them just like a normal farmer would do?

2019-10-02 09:40:28 UTC

Are they like um heartless?

2019-10-02 09:40:41 UTC

What do you think @Abe Lover

2019-10-02 09:40:55 UTC

No no

2019-10-02 09:41:10 UTC

imagine trying to keep up with all those names !

2019-10-02 09:42:49 UTC

Like for example I name my livestock and like spending quality time with them and show love and care and appreciation unlike any other but still on the day to kill them I show no sign of hesitation or remorse or empathy

2019-10-02 09:43:19 UTC

i think the bottom line, is the better the animal is taken care of, the more love and affection it's given, the healthier it will be to eat and the more holistically well for all concerned. . the reverse side is like what Ane said then it'd be much harder to kill

2019-10-02 09:44:02 UTC

I doubt people such as those exist Lampz

2019-10-02 09:44:48 UTC

I agree with Zane

2019-10-02 09:45:00 UTC

Ane* autocorrect

2019-10-02 09:45:35 UTC

Having a switch in the brain is quite psychopathic especially that type of switch

2019-10-02 09:45:59 UTC

So in that case if they have a switch would it still be efficient to treat your livestock in that way for development and growth giving them the most fulfilled life they possibly can have?

2019-10-02 09:46:09 UTC

Just to end it like any other farmer would?

2019-10-02 09:47:34 UTC

It also depends on the farmers' personal values

2019-10-02 09:47:44 UTC

This is a surprisingly interesting topic

2019-10-02 09:48:17 UTC

that's another reason why mixing business with family is frowned upon

2019-10-02 09:48:40 UTC

how will your business thrive if you're constantly feeling empathy for your livestock when they get slaughtered

2019-10-02 09:49:44 UTC

they work, but many of them cause internal conflict

2019-10-02 09:50:07 UTC

conflict that might not otherwise be there if it wasn't a family or loved member

2019-10-02 09:50:20 UTC

Do you think gaining an emotional attachment means to necessarily have a sense of empathy on the day of killing? This is what I wanna know

2019-10-02 09:50:30 UTC

Have any of you seen the promised neverland?

2019-10-02 09:51:35 UTC

like ane said, it all depends on the farmer, does he have the switch to turn off the empathy, or not

2019-10-02 09:51:43 UTC

but those that do will likely profit less

2019-10-02 09:52:01 UTC

the end is coming

2019-10-02 09:52:31 UTC

Promised neverland?

2019-10-02 09:53:56 UTC

They let the children live happy lives in a farm designed as an orphanage. prior to being instantly killed on the date of their “adoption” to be demon food and the mother that takes care of the kids shows no remorse or hesitation even tho she names and loves the children and adores them as if they were her own

2019-10-02 09:54:06 UTC

That’s what the promised neverland is about

2019-10-02 09:54:07 UTC

@Three Worlds yep around how long do you reckon we have left

2019-10-02 09:54:43 UTC

on this world, not long

2019-10-02 09:55:13 UTC

not long, in what context?

2019-10-02 09:55:32 UTC

is that movie on YT @Lampz

2019-10-02 09:55:56 UTC

in the context of the betterment of mankind its self

2019-10-02 09:55:58 UTC

It’s an anime series or manga
