Even space doesn't truly have "no air", just an extremely low density. Just the same as any other imperfect vacuum chamber that will still have some air in it. Perfect vacuums don't exist in practice.

interstellar and intergalactic space have even lower densities of particles, but it's still nonzero in any large volume.
