If you want you can buy a headset or ear buds with an inline Mic at Walmart for 10-15 bucks

Inexpensive set up works just fine for talking in the voice rooms

Can you tell me how to turn off the little audio notification when someone posts in Discord? I have stopped the desktop notifications, pressed deafen and mute in my settings and I can still hear it.

@Christine in Texas that will mute posts on all servers.
but you can also if you prefer, only mute a specific server, or even only specific channels,
just rightclick the server/channel and select 'mute'
