The U.S. Secret Service says Monday can confirm the victim driver in the wrong-way crash is a federal employee who was reporting to work in the District of Columbia.

Meanwhile, Arlington County police say they're searching for suspected driver 28-year-old Victor Ebai from Springfield, Virginia.

The Secret Service says they spotted his car going the wrong way on I Street Northwest in DC, around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Investigators say Ebai refused to stop and led them a chase toward I-66. Once on the interstate, they say he drove westbound in the eastbound lanes, eventually hitting another vehicle head-on.
That’s when police say he took off on foot, which initiated a manhunt both in the air and on the ground.
FOX 5 was the only news outlet capturing the aftermath of this crash, as photojournalist Freddy Wheeler was on the scene early Sunday morning
Both vehicles were badly damaged with the black car up on the median. A passenger was pulled from the suspect vehicle when it caught on fire. That man and the driver of the other car are both expected to survive.
Ebai faces charges for Felony Hit and Run and Felony Eluding from Arlington County police.
The Interstate was closed for a short period in both directions and the eastbound lanes were closed for hours. A number of Secret Service agents were on scene the entire time.
One of those agents tells FOX 5 that a person involved in the crash was a “White House military pass holder.”
Even with all the law enforcement agencies in the District, dividing up an investigation in this manner is highly unusual. DC police appears to not be involved in the investigation, even though the chase was through DC.
A top gang prosecutor in San Bernardino County has been put on administrative leave while the District Attorney's Office investigates discriminatory comments he made on social media, District Attorney Mike Ramos said Monday.
San Bernardino County Deputy District Attorney Michael Selyem is accused of making profanity-laced comments about Rep. Maxine Waters, former first lady Michelle Obama and Mexican immigrants.
In one post, Selyem wrote of Waters, saying "being a loud-mouthed (expletive) in the ghetto you would think someone would have shot this (expletive) by now."
In another he speaks of a suspect in an officer-involved shooting, saying "That s-bag got what he deserved" and "had he stopped being a complete (expletive) and listened to the police, he wouldn't have gotten shot."
It's unclear if that's from a current case he was investigating.
Both Selyem's Facebook and Instagram accounts have been deleted.
Ramos said his office received a complaint about the comments on June 28 and immediately launched a personnel investigation.
