Truthfully, whenever I encounter an old friend or acquaintance who is a Democrat, I tell them that sadly their party is dead. I tell them they need to make a decision on which party they are going to change to. If they truly embrace the often conflicting ideologies of their now dead party they need to look into the other available parties and choose one which has most of their political and governmental beliefs.
