SHAWNEE, Okla. (KOKH) — The Shawnee Police Department (SPD) is reporting the arrest of Sergeant Darryl Bordeaux, 53, on a charge of child abuse.
SPD says Bordeaux was arrested by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and was taken to the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center and he has been placed on administrative leave. Bordeaux is a 20-year veteran of the department.
No other information is available at this time.

Breaking Update: Someone threatened a doctor at Medstar Washington Hospital Center this morning and triggered a large police response and fears of an active shooter, sources tell News4. There was no shooting and no one was hurt, police said in an update.
The hospital is currently on lockdown.
