(Meredith) -- On Thursday, September 20 at exactly 2:18 p.m. EDT, every cell phone in the United States will sound an alert.
It's part of a national security test issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, marking the first national, end-to-end test of the Wireless Emergency Alert system. The goal is to determine whether the WEA networks can and will quickly process a message via all enabled cell sites. Homeland Security employees will be asked to respond to a questionnaire after the test to provide feedback.
The message will read, "THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed."

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A group is planning to shut down part of Lake Shore Drive on Chicago's North Side for an anti-violence protest next week.
The demonstration is scheduled for 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2, which will be as fans are headed to the Cubs-Padres games.
Protesters plan to march from Belmont Avenue in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood to Lake Shore Drive to Wrigley Field, where the Cubs will be playing the San Diego Padres at 7:05 p.m.
Earlier this month, a different group organized an anti-violence protest that shut down part of the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side for nearly two hours.
Organizers of the new protest said they want to raise awareness on the city's North Side.
Interesting photo from Tom Hanks' Twitter feed. Says that it's the cover from a music release by Joseph Luca (Scolari). An #EyesWideShut cover eerily titled, "I'm Sorry." Hanks misspelled Scolari and typed "Solari." How close are they still? Wonder where his Bosom Buddy Bestie is today? Did he leave? Why? Who is this child? Even the colors are reminiscent of the EWS movie. Also, you will find the same colors in the concert room basement of some Comet Ping Pong photos. Coincidence?
Karlie Kloss is headed down the aisle.
The supermodel is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Joshua Kushner, the 25-year-old fashionista confirmed on social media Tuesday.
"I love you more than I have words to express," the coding enthusiast captioned a sweet shot of herself planting a kiss on her future husband's cheek. "Josh, you're my best friend and my soulmate. I can't wait for forever together. Yes a million times over."
The news comes on the heels of their joint vacation in Italy. A source told People that Kushner proposed a few weeks ago in upstate New York and it seems their trip abroad was the perfect way to celebrate the special milestone. Plus, with Kloss's birthday coming up on August 3, they'll have double the

Though the two are very much in the public spotlight and have been dating for six years, they've managed to keep their romance as private as possible.
"It's not like I've ever wanted to be so secretive about my private life," Kloss previously told Porter. "Carolina Herrera always says, 'A woman who's an open book is boring.' There's no mystery anymore. I know in my life what really matters to me. I'm not trying to hide that from the world; I just really like having a more private private life...I've got nothing to hide, though!"
