english, math, sciences all of them massive benefits
There is no just “general math”
history... not so much
my math was basic skills up to 6th grade, then in middle school it became algebra 1 (7th Grade), algebra 2 (8th Grade), and then in high school it was geometry (freshman), precalculus (sophomore), and then math became an elective where you could take AP Calculus, AP Statistics, or Discrete Math
i didn't have generalized math
@DataVoid what you need brother
And we are generally teaching arithmetic, basic geometry, algebra, and some number theory in the lower levels divided by grade.
history and geography were the only subjects i enjoyed and the reason i didn't drop out of highschool to work
you didn't take trig sev?
Wtf is precalculus lmaooo
That just sounds dumb af
They are just called "MATH" "SCIENCE" ENGLISH" because parents are dumb
trig was P A I N
Precalculus is just trigonometry
trigonometry was blended into my geometry and algebra 2 courses
and some extra topics.
trig was my fav math
that to
o
trig is fun
we had the basketball coach teach our trig class
@DataVoid I agree
he was learning it alongside us <:atlast:758774926869004348>
I have the luxury of getting to teach trig via mech engineering to my students to let them skip precal.
Statistics is the most useful math right now
applied trig is amazing
wow i want to take your class
I developed a video game and without trig it would have been impossible to even get started
Stats is now being done in my freshman course, and I LIKE the new curriculum supplies I'm given
Statistics was such a good course to take
it actually teaches them how to make reasonable predictions and how to DESIGN things based around it
I highly recommend everyone take it tbh
But you cannot truly learn statistics without learning real analysis and probability theory
stat's in us is mostly prob theory
set prob theory to be precise
And I’m talking as a machine learning engineer
Prob theory is different from stats
Statistics classes here teaches you probability and set theory
what state has the best public schools
