Yes
You need a lot of drilling
Probably like 40 hours a month
Team movements like this is like a organism very hard irl
Right
Seems like a good reason to get friendly with your squad
STANDARDS.
1. Near ambush.
a. Soldiers in the kill zone immediately return fire, take up covered positions, and throw fragmentation grenades or concussion and smoke grenades. Immediately after the grenades detonate, soldiers in the kill zone assault through the ambush using fire and movement.
b. Soldiers not in the kill zone locate and place suppressive fire on the enemy, take up covered positions and shift fire as the assault begins.
Also
Far ambush:
a. Soldiers in the kill zone immediately return fire and take up covered positions. The leader identifies the enemy’s location and soldiers place accurate suppressive fire on the enemy’s position.
b. Soldiers not in the kill zone begin fire and movement to destroy the enemy.
c. The unit moves out of the kill zone, forces the enemy to withdraw, or destroys the ambush.
I got the printed us army light infantry manual it’s good resources
Also way more difficult irl
lol
What’s difficult about it?
Communication?
Yes communication is very hard to keep
Everyone need to have a good understanding of their role in these movements
I imagine in real life is the exact opposite as in games that fucks to the group... in games it’s the lone wolf Rambos that break cohesion trying to kill the whole enemy squad.. in real life I imagine most kids Wanna just take cover and not move
forget that, Hollywood.
They should train army recruits in FPS games where they wear vests that shock them hard if they get hit
neither does your enemy
I have no enemy except commie who want to take my goats
Fundamentals is the most important thing its the building block for how you fight
Team movements like I just described are the most basic movements you can do
practice makes perfect
You have to adjust it irl due to the layout of the area you're in, weather conditions etc. Many things come into play
it has to be instinctual
Very good book to build you foundation on practice it and in irl you tweak it how ever you need to
main reason soldier get killed is due to dumb shit like smoking or light disiplen
not paying attn to wether the enemy can see them or not]
if they can see you they can shoot you
another is confusing cover with concelment
another is trusting locals
in combat zones civs can switch alegances on a dime
always verify anything they tell you
and never walk off alone with one
