becuse now the evidence might not be admisiable in court
if they actulay have any real evidence of wrong doing
if trumps acountiants did the returns corectly and folwoed all standard acounting practices there isnt reqaly anything they can do

there are presumably other charges pending in NY, and other charges that could be filed based on his business dealings arising from conflicts of interest and potential breaches of fiduciary duties to his office.
